Burdur is located in the intersection point of Aegean, Inetrior Anatolia and Mediterranean Regions of Turkey. History of Burdur which is a scene of the live of many civilizations from past till today, reaches B.C 7000’s in the past. The excavation in Hacilar Tumulus shows that, one of the first settlement places in Anatolia is here. Our province which has work of arts belonging to the ages of Psidya, Hellenistic, Roma, Seljuks and Ottoman, have an important position in the geography of Turkey with its natural beauties. Insuyu Cave which is a touristic cave, Salda lake which is the deepest and cleanest lake of Turkey, Burdur Lake which has an International importance, Sagalasos Archaic City where the biggest foreigner excavation of Turkey is made, are just some of these beauties. In order to appreciate fully these beauties, it is required to walk around and see; and also to get a breath of this air in which history, nature and culture combine eachothers.
